Night Club Best Night Spots in Washington DC
After travelling around D.C. for a whole day, some travelers would opt to cuddle up in their hotel beds and snooze away. For most youngsters or those young at heart for whom the night is still young…or for those who visit a place just to enjoy the night-life there…well, “Welcome to Washington’s best night spots!”

Dance clubs used to be a rarity in DC. However, in recent years, several large dance clubs have opened up. Adams Morgan, the U Street corridor, Penn Quarter, and New York Avenue are among the liveliest neighborhoods in DC housing the Top10 Night Clubs there.

The 9:30 Club housing four bars and the largest dance floor in Washington features local, national and international performances – tickets can be purchased in advance. Dupont Circle is one of the hottest and among the most exclusive night spots in DC. Entry requires one to be dressed appropriately. Once the home of Teddy Roosevelt, this restored mansion is now a classy place with fireplaces, high ceilings and a dance floor.

Fur Nightclub, allows visitors to get-away from the crowds and relax in its intimate lounges or late-night espresso bar and café. Otherwise, its a large dance club with 30 foot high ceilings and a huge dance floor, located in a former warehouse.

Apex, also formerly knows as the Badlands is approximate to the afore-mentioned Dupont Circle. This dance club caters to the gay crowd, and has several bars and a pool hall. Another ‘A’ is for Avenue; a trendy three-storey dance club. Avenue is built on what was previously a 19th-century lumber warehouse, making it a unique and hip place . A variety of music is available here, from hip-hop, reggae, '80s classics, international and all the way to jazz!

Here I must mention another spot redesigned from a 19th century building - the Platinum Nightclub. Yet another elegant dance club featuring sound system of the highest technology and smoke machines. Platinum has three dance floors made of marble floors and high ceilings. If you wish to have some privacy, you will be glad to know that Platinum has a VIP lounge.

You don’t know how to dance?? How does a four-storey Cuban restaurant with not only live music, but one offering lessons…yup, DANCE LESSONS to get you doing the samba, tango, salsa and merengue; does that appeal to you? Cool?!! Seriously, Havana Village is the spot you should head to.
Among the most fashionable nightclubs in DC, and a place to dress up to your nines, and be seen and dance the night away - a large New York style dance club, MCCXXIII is your next call! Love, boasting four levels, four decks, VIP rooms, plush sitting areas, and luxurious private lounges is considered Washington's premier dance club.

Z for…Zanzibar! A multi-level club which mainly caters to Washington DC's Caribbean and African crowd has a menu featuring African and Caribbean cuisine. The large windows in Zanzibar overlooks the Potomac River, while the range of music varies from contemporary Rhythm & Blues, to live jazz, Latin and DJ dance music.

Fancy classic martinis or clever cutting-edge cocktails? Here’s a list of places that might interest you – Aroma, Blue Gin, Café Atlantico, Ceiba, Firefly, Halo, IndeBleu, Rasika, Restaurant Eve, and Round Robin Bar.

For those on a budget, yet craving for some Happy Hours, fret not. It's hard to go wrong with open bars such as Asylum, Austin Grill, Cafe Citron, Circle Bistro, Clarendon Ballroom, Firefly (again…yup!), The Front Page, Lucky Bar, Rock Bottom Brewery, and Tapatinis. They offer among Washington's best cheap drinks, discounted buffalo wings, and half-price burgers too!

Have a memorable night in Washington D.C…giving a whole new meaning to the phrase ‘Good Nite’.
